A Few Accomplishments

My Capstone Project (Serenity)

Personally built a web app that detects a user by facial recognition and tracks emotional state during computer usage for parental review. The app mostly uses Rails for the backend, Vue.js for the frontend, and pulls data info from APIs. Brief sample video of the app working!

Completed Actualize Bootcamp

This is one of my proudest accomplishments. I’m so glad I was able to take this BootCamp at Actualize, I learned so much and grew exponentially as a developer. I learned more than just code; I learned how to work in a team, how to work with deadlines, how to change my mindset, how to seek out answers and troubleshoot effectively. I learned a great deal in a short amount of time and now I have the confidence to take on my next challenge!

CDK Global Forms Builder

At CDK I helped build and map forms for dealerships to remove the need to hand write contracts manually in the F&I offices, when customers buy or sell vehicles. CDK uses its own proprietary coding language to connect forms to a database to ensure consistency and provide “dry code” to save time for the managers. Troubleshooting is a core principle in this role since every dealership needs personal customizations and the data is entered differently by each client. CDK has been a great learning experience and I was able to work with a very helpful and talented group. Thanks to this role my code is cleaner and my conditional statements are stronger.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. Senior Fraud Analyst

My role at JPMorgan Chase went through many phases as I transitioned from being customer facing to backend reporting. To begin I was responsible for assisting customers with handling fraud on their credit cards while maintaining security protocols to protect the bank. Working with high net worth clients it was important to provide world class customer service and one call resolution on every interaction. I then moved to a position where I was now recovering funds for the bank related to fraudulent activity by investigating customer claims and reaching out to merchants for verification. This experience allowed me to advance in my career to a role where I was able to showcase my expertise by reviewing existing procedures for gaps in policy and ensuring that the bank was following regulation. Chase has been a remarkable experience and I was fortunate enough to be part of a landmark corporation.

D&W FinePack Enterprise IT Helpdesk Technician

This was my first IT role and I learned a great deal. I learned everything from troubleshooting to overcoming challenges. D&W FinePack was a great place to work and learn complete with bonding memories and learning experiences. In our small team setting we worked on everything from setting up profiles to replacing computer parts. D&W FinePack was my first step into the realm of technology.
